Zöe Kravitz and Channing Tatum’s upcoming movie has a new title and a release date.
The suspense-horror drama, previously called Pussy Island, has been retitled Blink Twice, and it’s also landed a summer release in theaters, Amazon MGM Studios announced Friday.
Blink Twice, which marks Kravitz’s feature directorial debut, will hit the big screen on Aug. 23.
The movie follows a tech billionaire (Tatum) who invites a cocktail waitress named Frida (Naomi Ackie) to join him and his friends on a dream vacation on his private island. But the young woman’s paradise-like vacation turns into something more sinister when strange things start happening. Continues the logline: “There is something wrong with this place. She’ll have to uncover the truth if she wants to make it out of this party alive.
Tatum, Alia Shawkat, Simon Rex, Adria Arjona, Haley Joel Osment, Christian Slater, Kyle MacLachlan and Geena Davis also star. The producers are Kravitz, Bruce Cohen, Tiffany Persons, Garret Levitz.
Kravitz penned the script with E.T. Feigenbaum, one of the writers of High Fidelity, the Hulu TV series. She previously shared script duties with Feigenbaum on the series.
