Let’s go to China! AirAsia invites Thai people to make the most of its 11 routes to the Chinese destinations of Shanghai*, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Changsha, Kunming, Chongqing, Xi’an, Hangzhou, Wuhan and Shantou. The airline says it is launching a promotion celebrating visa free travel between Thailand and China for people with ordinary and public affairs passports starting this 1 March, agreed upon by the two governments.
Guests who fly direct from Bangkok (Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi) to China can enjoy all-inclusive fares from only 2,490 THB per trip. Book 28 January-11 February, 2024 for travel from 15 February-30 September 2024.
Mr. Santisuk Klongchaiya, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia Thailand, remarked that “The visa-free travel agreement between Thailand and China was a much-anticipated development. Without a visa requirement for Thai citizens traveling to China, trips will be both more convenient and affordable. The agreement is sure to boost tourism between both countries.”

To align with this occasion, AirAsia has also launched a campaign “Open your mind to explore a million experiences in China” inviting everyone to open their mind to experience unique beauty in a magnificent landscape of all the cities that AirAsia directly flies to China, which the campaign has gradually organized promotions and fun activities for public awareness.

Thailand and China will allow visa-free travel from 1 March onward, allowing citizens of both nations to visit one another for up to 30 consecutive days or a total 90 days within a 180 day period without the need to request a visa. The agreement is expected to be a boon to tourism and the economy of both countries.
