Apple TV+ released the first trailer for its upcoming sci-fi limited series Constellation which has some auspices that are sure to excite genre TV fans.
The project stars Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Emmy nominee Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad) and is from writer Peter Harness (War of the Worlds). Emmy winner Michelle MacLaren (Breaking Bad) directs.
Rapace stars as Jo — “an astronaut who returns to Earth after a disaster in space – only to discover that key pieces of her life seem to be missing. The action-packed space adventure is an exploration of the dark edges of human psychology, and one woman’s desperate quest to expose the truth about the hidden history of space travel and recover all that she has lost.”
The eight-part series also stars James D’Arcy (Oppenheimer), Julian Looman (Emily in Paris), William Catlett (A Thousand and One), Barbara Sukowa (Voyager), and introduces Rosie and Davina Coleman as Alice. The project is produced by Turbine Studios and Haut et Court TV.
Constellation premieres with its first three episodes on Feb. 21 on Apple TV+. The title joins the increasing lineup of the streamer’s sci-fi offerings, which include Foundation, For All Mankind, Finch, and Silo.
