After a storm hit the region on Tuesday, bringing heavy rains, high winds and flooding to Delaware, travel impacts can be seen near and far.

Although the worst of the storm is over, lingering flood advisories remain in many areas, with residents cautioned to travel carefully or seek alternate routes.

Aside from statewide road closure due to flooding and road blockages, rail transit also is feeling the effects of Tuesday’s downpour.

Amtrak’s Wilmington office issued an advisory on Tuesday evening announcing that schedule adjustments were made to the Northeast Corridor route and surrounding areas as a safety precaution for passengers and crew members. Amtrak also cited overhead power issues and debris on the tracks as a concern for Keystone Service.
