More new *NSYNC music may be coming in the near future.

While making an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Tuesday, Justin Timberlake teased that the boy band’s recent reunion for the single “Better Place” — their first song together in over two decades — for the film Trolls Band Together, may not be the only new tune to be released by the group.

“We’ve been in the studio, so there may be a little something in the future, too,” he told host Kelly Clarkson.

Timberlake’s tease came as he recalled “growing up in the industry and getting access to so much in the studio,” which resulted in him becoming what he described as a “studio rat.” He added, “I just loved being in there and I loved the creative process. And also as it pertains to harmonies, I spent some time with four other guys doing a lot of harmonies.”

Despite not having worked on music together in over 20 years, Timberlake explained that it felt like no time had passed when working with former bandmates JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone.

“That was fun,” he said. “It’s kind of crazy, like, there’s so much that just picks up right where it left off as far as the chemistry.”

*NSYNC’s reunion was first hinted when the members took the stage to present the best pop music video award to Taylor Swift at last year’s Video Music Awards, leaving Swift to even ask, “Are you doing something? What’s gonna happen now? They’re going to do something and I need to know what it is!”

They later built the anticipation by sharing photos together on social media before announcing that they were reuniting for the Trolls song “Better Place.” In their announcement, the band could be seen recording together in the studio and marveling at how long it had been.

“Who’s ready for a reunion?” Timberlake quips in the studio.

“That’s the first NSYNC song finished in 23 years,” Bass says at the end of the video, to which Timberlake replies, “Listen, man, I love you guys. That shit is … that shit is epic, man.”

In addition to his song with *NSYNC, Timberlake recently released his new song “Selfish,” the debut single from his upcoming album Everything I Thought It Was, his first album since 2018.
